My work emphasizes on the strength of simplicity in a subtle, refined way. I try to capture or depict what I see with attention for detail. In the process I like to search for the esthetics of what is and find beauty in the coincidental things that occur. Besides I find myself fascinated by the different sides of certain borders. Strength and vulnerability. The essential and the excessive. Perfection and imperfection. Recognizability and estrangement. bianca.yfke is an artistic collaboration with Yfke Metz.
